"Summer's day "bursts with vivid energy ,fiery red ,glowing oranges and yellows sweep across the landscape, while unexpected blue trees stand like cool sentinels against the warmth. Painted on a cold ,rainy winter's day in Africa, the work became my escape into the sunlight and heat and a summer I long for. This painting is less of a record of a place but a memory of warmth ,joy and light imagined into existence.
