The gallery is small, but it punches well above its weight. Friendly, expert and hugely knowledgeable about the artists it represents and displays, there is always something of interest, at different price levels.
The Artist
Sheena Burton
Arty Corner holds Sheena’s ‘Floral Linguistics’ collection. ‘Floral Linguistics’ is a powerful collection of oil paintings created by Sheena Burton during her journey with stage 4 cancer. Both the artist and her works will be travelling from New Zealand for this special Arty Corner exhibition in Wimbledon.
Burton’s work is held in private collections across several countries including New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the United States, England, Ireland, and South Africa. She has recently been offered an artist residency in France in 2026.
Burton initially pursued a career in corporate banking in London & New York to then find art later in her life. Burton studied at the National Art School in Sydney where she received mentorship under Lewellyn Skye, an acclaimed Australian abstract artist.
"I danced around the arts and design circle at all points of my life from textiles to product design eventually realising that all roads led me back to painting”.
