‘The title of this piece is a play on the word Dive. The execution of this painting allowed me to focus on the detail of our anatomy as various human forms fall with purpose and precision through the air.’
Acrylic on canvas framed with a black tray frame.

The gallery is small, but it punches well above its weight. Friendly, expert and hugely knowledgeable about the artists it represents and displays, there is always something of interest, at different price levels.
The Artist
Rick Donoghue
‘In 2021 I moved back to West Sussex where I had spent my childhood growing up in Worthing. Only then did I realise how much I had missed the downs and the sea.’
‘The sea is currently a major source of inspiration and I love to go to the coast to see it in all weather conditions and at all times of the day. When I am not painting the sea or coastal scene I concern myself with depicting the human body as it falls through the air. I am fascinated by the way light and shadow interacts with the human form, creating interesting shapes and textures.
I believe art should evoke an emotional response from the viewer. Whether it's joy, nostalgia, or contemplation, I hope people will connect with my work on some level.’
