Led by colour and shaped by a deep influence from music she listens to whilst painting, Alice paints with an intuitive sense of rhythm and emotional tone. Layers gather and release in search for balance, creating not an image, but an atmosphere - a moment of feeling held in colour.

Alice Ashley
Alice Ashley is a British artist and designer whose work explores colour, memory and the feeling of place. She studied Fine Art and History of Art at the University of Leeds, following a Foundation in Art and Design at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL.
Working between abstraction and landscape, Alice uses expressive mark-making, layered colour and movement to create atmospheric, instinctive paintings. Inspired by shifting light, hazy summers and fragments of memory, her work captures the feeling of a moment and the traces it leaves behind.
Alice lives and works in Wimbledon.
