The Drifting Light
"Most of my paintings feature elements of collage, which has become an integral part of my process. I often think of the natural landscape itself as a collage of plants, fields, rivers and stones that have been covering and revealing each other for millennia.
With these monochrome pieces, I’ve taken things a step further, in that the entire painting is composed of collaged elements. This allows me to layer paper and paint, literally watching the composition grow in front of me as I work. There’s a very enjoyable tactility to this process, which helps to capture the energy and physicality of the landscape."

The gallery is small, but it punches well above its weight. Friendly, expert and hugely knowledgeable about the artists it represents and displays, there is always something of interest, at different price levels.
