Description

Being Argentinian, my wife drinks a fair amount of Maté, which is drunk through a metal straw called a Bomilla. Rather than drinking it, I preferred to draw it with chalk pastels.

Mark George

Mark is from Whitehaven in West Cumbria, where he recently moved back to after a few years working in Wiltshire. Having more time these days to draw and paint, he takes inspiration from the local scenery.

"We're on the Cumbrian coast and the westerly edge of the Lake District, so there's no shortage of subject matter."

He likes to vary his subjects and media, with his favourite "probably being pen and watercolour".
