Coming Around Again
"Sweeping layers of blue and green spiral inward, creating the sensation of water caught in continuous motion. Pools of saturated colour, translucent passages and scattered droplets build depth across the circular form, while flashes of untouched canvas interrupt the flow. Expansive yet meditative, the work reflects on cycles, movement and the shifting nature of memory."

Coming Around Again
The gallery is small, but it punches well above its weight. Friendly, expert and hugely knowledgeable about the artists it represents and displays, there is always something of interest, at different price levels.
The Artist
Alice Ashley
Alice Ashley is a British artist and designer whose work explores colour, memory and the feeling of place. She studied Fine Art and History of Art at the University of Leeds, following a Foundation in Art and Design at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL.
Working between abstraction and landscape, Alice uses expressive mark-making, layered colour and movement to create atmospheric, instinctive paintings. Inspired by shifting light, hazy summers and fragments of memory, her work captures the feeling of a moment and the traces it leaves behind.
Alice lives and works in Wimbledon.
