"Hail Dreaming at Illipili, My Grandfather’s Country"

Pansy started painting in the early 1970s after observing the older men painting in Papunya. From 1960 onwards, Pansy lived at Papunya and learnt the Dreamings of her father’s country – Bush Banana, Water Snake, Marlu (kangaroo), Cockatoo, Bush Mangoes and Willy Wagtail. She also learnt the Dreamings of her mother who was born at Illipili – Seven Sisters, Hail, Desert Raisin and Kungkakutjara (two women). Pansy paints said dreamings.
