'Tingari cycle – His country of claypans near Lake Mackay in Western Australia'

Walala paints the Tingari Cycle, which is a series of sacred and secret songlines. His language group is Pintupi and his country is Marua, Gibson Desert. Born in the early 1960’s in the Gibson Desert he made history in 1984 when his family arrived at Kiwirrkurra and had contact with Europeans for the first timePart of this group are his brothers Thomas and Warlimpirringa who are famous artists in their own right. 

Acrylic paint on Belgian Linen, unframed.
