"‘I hope to do it better in time. Getting better must come through doing it and through trying.’"
I grew up in New Zealand when homes had limited heating and water condensed on the inside in winter. I am told these windows were my first drawing surfaces. As a child I found colour fascinating and memorable, including varied plastic pegs and the gift of some wonderful coloured pencils with colours I had never seen before.
Art resurfaced as an attraction in the past several years, when I lived in Turkey and exhibited and sold my work modestly on the annual boat race, which lasted several days and included Greece! I love painting and drawing, and have done several portraits as well as abstracts, landscapes and anything which features water and light! I use mainly oil, and sometimes acrylic paint, or pastels and pencils.
